Tutor (Afterschool Program) Role: Provide academic support to children in our afterschool program.

Responsibilities: Assist students with homework, explain challenging concepts in subjects like math, English, and science, and help improve reading and writing skills. Tutors work one-on-one or in small groups to build students’ confidence and academic performance in a safe, encouraging environment.

Mentor (Youth Development) Role: Serve as a positive role model and guide for children and teens.

Responsibilities: Build trusted relationships with youth, offer emotional support, encourage goal-setting, and promote positive decision-making. Mentors also support personal growth by sharing life experiences, helping youth navigate challenges, and inspiring them to believe in their potential.

Empowerment Facilitator (Skills & Life Training) Role: Lead or assist in workshops aimed at empowering women and youth.

Responsibilities: Teach or support sessions in sewing, budgeting, adult literacy, or small business skills. Facilitators help participants gain confidence, develop new talents, and build sustainable income-generating activities that uplift families and communities.

Community Outreach Volunteer Role: Represent Nitasimama Foundation within local communities.

Responsibilities: Help identify families in need, distribute food packages or school supplies, assist in organizing community events, and share information about our programs. Outreach volunteers play a key role in building relationships and trust within the community while expanding our reach.

Fundraising & Awareness Advocate Role: Support our mission by helping raise funds and awareness.

Responsibilities: Organize fundraising events, manage online campaigns, engage with donors, and spread the word about our work on social media or in local networks. Advocates help ensure the foundation has the resources needed to continue supporting families and children effectively.
